About Skills Hubs

At Skills Hubs, our purpose is simple: to grow and support Queensland’s home care workforce.

Caring for others is one of the most important jobs there is—and one of the most needed. Right now, too many older Australians are waiting for the support that will let them live safely and independently at home. We’re here to change that.

What We Do

We're a not-for-profit, backed by government funding, that works hand-in-hand with job seekers, providers, and the community to build a stronger sector.

Our approach is practical and people-focused:

Recruitment

Attracting new people into care roles through targeted outreach and community engagement.

Step 2: Work

Connecting them with high-quality training that builds confidence and capability.

Placements

Helping workers find the right provider match for successful long-term employment.

Retention

Offering support at 3, 6, and 12 months to help them stay and thrive.

We're here because we believe everyone deserves the dignity of living independently at home. By growing the workforce, we're making that possible for more Australians every day.

Our Commitment

At Skills Hubs, we’re not just delivering a program. We’re building a movement: a stronger, kinder, more resilient care sector for Queensland.

Because when we invest in people, we invest in stronger communities—and in a future where everyone has the chance to live with dignity at home.

Let's shape the future of home care, together.

Whether you're looking to begin a new career, grow your team, or simply learn more about how we're helping, you'll find a warm welcome here.
