Community-led approach to build on sustainable solutions that support healthy ageing

RRR HCWSP will add 1,774 home care workers over three years to regional, rural and remote areas where workforce shortages are the most acute.

RRR HCWSP OUTCOMES

Attract

Raise the profile of aged care workforce opportunities in local region to unlock existing potential

Train

Match candidates to accessible training pathways and identify training gaps and co-design solutions

Retain

Work with employers to strengthen organisational capacity and processes to increase staff retention

Support

Leverage community discussions to recognise and grow the key role local aged care workforces play in strong, sustainable local futures

NSW: Broken Hill–Far West, Clarence Valley, Great Lakes, Kempsey–Nambucca, Southern Highlands, Taree–Gloucester
