Library of Lived Experience showcased at AAG conference

The 56th Australian Association of Gerontology conference was held recently on the Gold Coast. Skills Hubs were in attendance with partners Council on the Ageing Queensland (COTA), to share a growing library of lived experience. The library is a unique collection of experiences shared by home care package consumers and their families, those employed in the home care workforce via the Home Care Workforce Support Program and providers who have benefited from increased workforce capacity thanks to the approach taken with the HCWSP.

The conference is a wonderful opportunity for Gerontologists and associated workers to connect, not only with each other but with the stories of older Australians, with the latest approaches and best practice in the field and with this year’s theme, ‘Reimagining Ageing: Diving Into an Ocean of Possibilities’, something that the HCWSP helps older Australians do on a daily basis.
